Hei Myung C. Hyun

Hei Myung C. Hyun is a Korea-born and Los Angeles-based artist. She began her art education in Seoul and completed her studies in the United States. Her early paintings were inspired by minimalism, but later, she re-discovered her Korean artistic self and began to incorporate East Asian elements into her work. She focuses on nature and its many spiritual qualities, as well as the tension between cultural, temporal, and stylistic contrasts that can result in images that are deeply tranquil, yet dynamic.
